Creative Influences I, - HD Video, 2011

FYI:  Use the left and right arrows above to navigate to the next or previous gallery.

The study of Leonardo da Vinci had a profound impact on my life, my career, and my creative thinking.   He embodied the perfect synergy of fine art, science, and technology.   This video depicts a small sample of mostly preparatory studies for paintings as well as a two well known paintings.   The purpose of my selection is to show Leonardo's powerful technical skill combined with his flare for the dramatic in a variety of subject matter.

I created the video above to pay homage to a universal genius as well as to have a new example for one of the courses I teach:

GRAP 1150: COMPUTER APPLICATIONS TO GRAPHICS

“Sad is the disciple that doesn't surpass his master” (Forster codex III, f. 66 v.)
“Tristo é lo discepolo che non avanza il suo maestro” —Leonardo da Vinci (Codice Forster III, f. 66 v.)
