ARTD 1142: FOUNDATIONS OF DRAWING I

This introductory course focuses on the traditions of drawing. Space, form, value, proportion and composition are emphasized for the development of the beginning student’s ability to receive and record forms on a two-dimensional surface. Students use a variety of drawing media as they work toward an understanding of the technical, expressive and conceptual possibilities of mark-making.
